With small group sizes of no more than 12 participants, each person receives the attention, encouragement, and support they need to thrive while working toward their individual goals in a safe and empowering space.

During the studio tour, we take the opportunity to make sure we are a good fit. It is imperative to us that everyone feel comfortable! We will love to get to know everyone’s goals to ensure we meet them. We are committed to being a part of your team and working together to create the best experience possible!

ZINENiac does provide transportation to and from our studio for programming. We would be happy to assist any way we can!

ZINEniac clients can pay for programming through DDD funding and Self Pay. If you have DDD funding, please ask your Support Coordinator to reach out to us directly. We will handle the rest!

Yes, we are! 

Our main demographic of clients is EVERYONE. Our students are seeking meaningful social experiences, skill development, and community inclusion via a safe space that focuses on arts based programming. ZINEniac exists to serve the general public through fully integrated programs that promote inclusion, adaptive skill-building, and socialization in an open setting, fostering long-term friendships and a sense of belonging. Our offerings align with disability-related needs, meet employment and habilitation goals, and are limited to no more than 12 individuals with I/DD at a time to ensure personalized attention. These programs also address safety, integration, and personal growth.

Most of our ZINEniac events and programs take place in Bergen County at our studio located at 223 DeGraw Avenue, Teaneck, New Jersey 07666.

ZINEniac offers arts based programming to everyone by listening to a student’s goals and moving towards success!

Yes, it is! At ZINEniac, our philosophy is to create programming that is student led, hands on, and project based. The idea is to meet each individual student where they are and grow and glow from there!

Yes, they can! We will make any necessary modifications to any activity to ensure our students are able to safely participate at their level. ZINEniac Studio is also ADA compliant and wheelchair accessible.

Totally! ZINEniac is all about understanding that each student that participates is an individual, not just a number. We meet the student where they are and grow and glow from there! It is all about enjoying the journey while having fun and learning in the process!

ZINEniac creates student centered learning environments that align with our Culturally Responsive & Sustaining Education Framework Policies to affirm cultural identities, foster positive academic outcomes, develop students’ abilities to connect across lines of difference, elevate historically marginalized voices, empower students as agents of social change, and contribute to individual student engagement, learning, growth, and achievement through the cultivation of critical thinking.

To help our students with speech or hearing impairments, we utilize special captioning software designed for deaf and HoH Individuals. We also work with the student, and their family, to make any modifications necessary. We are always here to help!

At ZINEniac, our student to teacher ratio is 4:1. Additionally, our support team is always available to assist. The idea is to create an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone. There are accommodations such as accessible materials, alternative formats, and our extra support team that are activated to assist our students in understanding and engaging with concepts.

Yes, there are! ZINEniac actively promotes networking and collaboration among our students to strengthen communication and relationship skills while helping create lifelong friendships. Events are hosted by ZINEniac as well for individuals to connect, share experiences, and build a supportive community.

Students can request any required accommodations or modifications by contacting the Administrative team or their Creative Instructor. We are always here to listen and discuss any specific needs. ZINEniac will always work collaboratively with a student, and their family, to implement suitable adjustments for a more inclusive learning experience. We are a team and together we will always succeed!

Adaptive fitness is a fun, tailored workout program designed for students with varying abilities to stay active and healthy. We include activities like yoga, Zumba, and strength training.

Absolutely. From painting to claymation, our classes let students express themselves creatively. Your masterpiece could even be displayed in our annual art showcase.

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Our hands-on projects make learning these subjects engaging and fun—think building robots, creating artwork, and experimenting with exciting science experiments.

We host role-playing games, group discussions, collaborative projects, and more to help students build confidence and connect with others.
